Christmas?– What is Christmas?…–Christmas, 25 December, was the Date designated as the Day of Jesus, Birth, by Sextus Julius Africannus in 221. This became the Universally Accepted Date. The Explanation for this Date, is that The 25 December, was the Christianizing of the ‘Dies Solis Invicti Nati’ ( ‘The day of the Birth of the Unconquered Sun’ ). Which was a Popular Holiday in the Roman Empire, celebrating the Winter Solstice, as a Symbol of the Resurgence of the Sun. Which was the Throwing away of Winter, and the Welcoming the Rebirth of Spring and Summer time. The 25 December, became Accepted as the Birth of ‘ ‘Jesus’. Christians made this Connection, of the Rebirth of the Sun, with the Birth of the Son, ‘Jesus’.

The Second idea, suggests that The, 25 December the Date of ‘ Jesus Birth ‘, identified with The Spring Equinox, as the Date of the Creation of the World, and the Fourth day of Creation, when The Light was created, which is the day of ‘ Jesus Conception ‘, ( The, 25 March ). The 25 December, is Nine Months later, and so We have, The 25 December, Christmas Day, which means the Christ ( Jesus ), Mas ( day ), which is The Birth of Jesus Celebration, of JESUS’S, Holy Birthday.

Christmas began to be Celebrated, with the Liturgy, in the 9thy Century. The Roman Catholic Church Celebrated the First Christmas Mass at Midnight. The Protestant Churches held, Christmas Candlelight services, in the Late Evening of The, 24 December. The Christmas Service, combines The Christmas Carols, with Scripture Readings, Narrating the Salvation History, from the Fall in the Garden of Eden, and To The Coming of The Christ, ‘ Jesus ‘.

Towards the end of the 18th Century, Giving Gifts to Family Members, was Established.

In Conclusion to this Blog, Christmas, Christmas cards and Art Inspiration, The 25 December each year is the Designated Day Of The Birth Of Jesus, The Son of The World. We Celebrate the Birth of Jesus each Year, Religiously by Lighting Candles on the Eve of Christmas, 24 December, before Midnight Mass on the 25 December. Jesus was the Light of The World, being Conceived on the 25 March, on the Fourth Day of the Creation, as the Light in the World. Nine months Later, on the 25 December, Jesus was Born, SON, Sun, Light, and Life to The World. The Significance, is Historically related to the Earth’s Creation, when the world came to be, as we know the World at this time.

We Celebrate Christmas, each Year since the 18th Century, by giving Gifts to Family Members.
